What Is It?
The Document Accessibility eXpress Service (DAXS) from Accessibil-IT is the first service of its kind to allow organizations to provide on demand PDF accessibility for their vast archive of PDF documents located on both internal and external websites. This allows for one-click service requests for your readers to ensure an easy way to request document accessibility.
Technology
Accessibil-IT has developed a new service that will insert a button into every PDF document that is currently available on your website. This button can be visible or accessible to only screen reader users and will not change the look of your document at all. When a user opens your inaccessible document, they will hear that the document is inaccessible, but by selecting the button, they will receive the document as an accessible PDF from Accessibil-IT.
Process
Accessibil-IT will insert the DAXS button into every existing document on your website, and then when a user selects to have the document made accessible; it will be sent by email to our secure servers and put immediately into our workflow. Accessibil-IT will then use its leading approach to PDF accessibility and return the document to your client on your behalf. In addition you will receive a copy of the document to upload to your website to ensure that that document will be accessible from your website from that point forward.
